Abstract
This document summarizes the work carried out by the sub-working group “conceptual approach” which aimed to develop elements of an approach that meet the general objectives set out above on the basis of case studies of care processes. This documentation booklet is a first step-by-step document. Some paragraphs or articles still need to be completed or clarified, especially with regard to the formal definitions of the main concepts of the metamodel. Important terminological precaution: This document should describe “steps” in a modelling process and details of the content of various cognitive operations implemented. However, these modeling activities are about (or subject for reflection) the analysis of care processes and cognitive activities of care workers. This document will therefore contain references to two types of processes: – the modeling process (which is in the field of software engineering); – care processes (which are in the medical field). Following the definition of process in 5.10 and below, the same vocabulary should be adopted to refer to both types of processes. Hence a risk of significant confusion that we propose to eliminate by adopting two distinct vocabularies for each of the planes of the discourse: – to talk about the care processes we will refer to the concepts of stages, activities (essentially so as not to have to repeat the documents that were communicated by the members of the working group and which used this terminology quite naturally); – To talk about the approach, i.e. the modeling process, we will talk about phases (instead of steps) and modeling operations (instead of activities) which may seem less natural. Where it is not possible to do otherwise, efforts should be made to systematically specify which process it is, etc. AFNOR Copyright © 2018, All rights reserved
